1927 Studebaker Erskine SIX
In the 20s, Studebaker quickly became a manufacturer of expensive luxury vehicles. The then CEO A.R. Erskine pushed the production of cheaper cars under its own brand. From 1927 onwards, compact cars were manufactured in South Bend, Indiana under a new brand: Erskine. With the slogan "the little aristocrat", the six-cylinder was well received in Europe. Already in 1929, the model was enlarged, only to realize in 1930 that the company was becoming its own competitor and production ceased.
This Erskine was acquired by a German collector in the 90s. Over the years he renewed the fenders, interior and convertible soft top on the car coming from Argentina. The mechanics were also repaired. In Germany, the tourer was traveling with certification to make historic. In 2013, the Erskine was sold within its acquaintance circle to Italy via Austria. It was therefore first typified in Austria before it was registered in Italy.
