Certificate (in photocopy) issued for the sculpture’s former owner by Galerie für Skulptur, 1160 Vienna, Liebhartsgasse 38 and signed by the founder, Pöll. Vienna, 14 Dec. 1974 ... The bronze sculpture "Upright Standing Girl" by Hans Knesl was designed by him in 1959 as a 220-centimetre-high sculpture. The large version is still installed at No. 36 Hasnerstrasse in Vienna’s 16th district and is owned by the City of Vienna. There are three bronze casts of the small version. Your cast is no. 2. The original model, which is not for sale, is made of artificial stone and owned by Mrs. Elfriede Knesl. It will later pass into her children’s ownership.
