Thomas Mertens
(active in Antwerp in the 17th century), A magnificent still life of grapes, lemons, peaches, figs, and a melon, signed at lower right Th. O. Mertens, oil on canvas, 87 x 111.2 cm, framed,
Provenance: Collection J. Harvey Cochrane, Esqu.; sale, Christie’s, London, 8 July 1977, lot 27 (as Jacob Mertens). Exhibited/Literature: Art Gallery, Aberdeen, Paintings from North-East Homes, Festival of Britain, 1951, no. 26 (as "Dutch School").
