Provenance: Collector’s stamp: crowned monogramm F (not in Lugt). According to Dr. Heinrich Geißler, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, the present drawing belongs to copies after lost designs by Sustris for the still existing holy shrine in the Reichenkapelle of the Munich Residence (stained glass windows on the right wall). The figure of the Lord is borrowed from a similar figure in an altar painting the Fugger court church in Kirchheim by Alexandro Paduano, the brother in law of Sustris. Literature: H.
