designed by Anna-Lülja Praun in 1956, Austria, manufactured c. 2000, black lacquered alder, the armrests and backrest covered with cowhide, the loose spring-supported cushions filled with horsehair and covered with deerskin, height 60 cm, length 220 cm, depth 81 cm, height of seat 42 cm. (DR) Excellent original condition. Designed for Herbert Karajan"˜s apartment on Hohe Warte in Vienna to be used as a settee near the fireside. In 2000, Anna-Lülja Praun had two further pieces made, which have a special length of two metres and were made for private collectors. The original settee is 1.80 metres long.
