1971 Mercedes-Benz 350 SL

1971 Mercedes-Benz 350 SL - Historická motorová vozidla

Very early vehicle, originally delivered to Vienna!

Known internally as the R107, Mercedes presented the successor to the Pagoda, the 350 SL, April 1971 in Geneva, adding a companion to the 450 SL. The sporty Mercedes with its large engine was particularly well-received in the United States. The SL was not introduced until 1974, due to the oil crisis. The R107 remained in the programme until 1989, virtually unchanged in terms of its look, and is therefore the longest-running model series ever produced by Mercedes.

This 350 SL was registered to a Viennese firm of outfitters just shortly after its launch on the market. The laid-back style of the convertible is emphasised by its automatic gearbox, while the metal alloy rims lend a sporting touch. The Zender front spoiler is mounted in place and defined the look of its later facelift. The panelling was replaced on the interior, and a more sophisticated wooden steering wheel fitted. And the exterior appearance is just as good as the interior, thanks to the fresh coat of paint. The blue fabric soft top was also replaced. Numerous invoices confirm the maintenance and servicing work. This 350 SL is a classic in every sense, and one in which the previous owners have invested a lot of money, as confirmed by its current condition.

VIN: 10704312001310, mileage: 160,919 km (read), displacement: 3,499 cc/V8, power: 200 hp, colour: blue metallic/blue (fabric), gearbox: 4-speed automatic, papers: Austrian registration document
