1957 BMW R50 *
The Modell R50 is the successor to the R51/3. While the latter was equipped with telescopic forks and plunger-type suspension, the R50 - built from 1955 - caught the eye with its revolutionary frame suspension and rear-wheel plunger, all of it entirely encapsulated.
The firm Denzel delivered this BMW R50 to its first owner in Styria, where it remained, aside from a one-month stayover in Carinthia. It was deregistered in 1997 and then restored. Resplendent again in its former glory, it began its life as a classic motorcycle in 2005.
