A certificate (in photocopy) for the sculpture’s former owner, issued by Galerie für Skulptur, 1160 Vienna, No. 38 Liebhartsgasse, signed by Pöll, the cast’s founder. Vienna, on 14 Dec. 1974 ... The bronze "Standing Girl" by Hans Knesl was designed by him in 1959 as a model for a 220-cm-tall sculpture. The large sculpture is installed in Vienna’s 10th district, at No. 36 Hasengasse and is owned by the City of Vienna. There are three bronze casts of the small model. Your cast is the second. The original model is made of artificial stone; it is owned by Mrs. Elfriede Knesl and is not for sale. She will pass it on to her children.
