designed by Franz Schuster, Germany, 1929, black lacquered wood, glass sliding doors, paper label: Prof. Schuster/Aufbau-Möbel, height 154 cm, length 300 cm, depth 50 cm. (DR) After several years of development, the Frankfurt-based architect Franz Schuster published his modular furniture system in Ein Möbelbuch in 1929. Consisting of twelve units based on only four basic forms in two variants, this programme can be variably combined to create more than 100 different pieces of furniture.
