A rare lounge suite, designed by Bert Lieber
in 1960, for Wilhelm Knoll, Germany, set consisting of two armchairs and three-seater sofa mod. 464,
eight-legged and four-legged black lacquered metal structures, rattan seat pans and manchettes, unattached light-coloured seat and back upholstery. After studying interior design from 1952 to 1957 at the Werkkunstschule Darmstadt, Bert Lieber worked from 1957 to 1964 as head of development for the furniture factory of Wilhelm Knoll. In this period, this design was also created. In 1964 he founded his own office for architecture and design. He also realized projects in interior design, trade fair planning and building construction. He has developed 12 patents in the furniture sector. Bert Lieber has been awarded numerous design prizes in Germany (such as the German Design Council), Austria and France. Bert Lieber lives and works in Baden-Württemberg.
