1965 Vespa 50 N Cyclomoteur (Pedalo) (ohne Limit / without reserve)


In order to turn it from a scooter in to a moped in the mid-1960s the French licensee A.C.M.A. had the glorious idea to mount pedals to the Vespa. That might have had some tax advantages, but the realization somehow seemed quite frightening. The footboard was shortened quite a bit and a box with the mechanics inside was put on top of it. Apart from the necessary adaptions of the engine most of the so-called Pedalo Vespas was the same as on the standard models.

To find one of those moped-Vespas is not quite easy today. No one knows how many were built, but it definitely was not a lot. Like everything that is rare and weird also the Pedalo raises the interest of serious collectors. But one has to be very careful that all the specific moped parts are there, because if not, they are almost impossible to find these days.

This Vespa Pedalo has been restored with care. What matters most, is that all the rare parts are there, so that the brave ones are welcome to try out those pedals.
