1966 Lambretta Li 150 Golden Special (ohne Limit / without reserve)
In 1963 Innocenti presented the Lambretta Li 150 Special. It was supposed to close the gap between the Li and the TV. The engine was upgraded to 8,25 HP, which together with the narrow transmission ratio granted an impressive perfomance. The Special was only available in silver at the beginning. With sales numbers not what Innocenti hoped for another color was introduced. They were called the Golden und the Silver Special and wore their respective lettering.
The Li 150 Special was built for four years until 1966. The total production was 70,000 examples. Its name alone made it something “special“. Thanks to its sportive character the Special has a dedicated fan base.
This Lambretta Golden Special came from Italy to Austria. Already in its home country it had been fully restored by a specialist to a very high standard. The Special received a new 200 cc engine, which further improved its performance. Since then the Lambretta has been very well cared for, which makes her shine golden, almost like on the very first day.
