A large, impressive desk, designed by Bruno Paul
c. 1930, manufactured by Deutsche Werkstätten Dresden-Hellerau c. 1930, classic, pared-down wood frame construction, mahogany veneer, dark polished, the front featuring one door on either side with lock and wood knob, the interior fitted with shelves, also to be used freestanding, the reverse side with folding compartments and a shelf. Dimensions height c. 77 cm, width c. 170 cm, depth c. 80 cm. (MHA)
This is a variant of the writing desk designed for the study no. 245 /543. Bruno Paul probably slightly varied both designs and then merged them under a separate model number.
