in 1902, for the telegraph office of “Die Zeit” in Vienna, manufactured by J. & J. Kohn, four-legged bent beechwood structure stained to simulate mahogany, the seat and backrest reupholstered with old light-coloured fabric, brass sabots and armrests, brass studs, marked J.& J. Kohn with brand mark in the frame, height c. 77 cm, width c. 56 cm, depth c. 50 cm, height of seat c. 46 cm. (MHA)
Otto Wagner designed the complete interior for the telegraph office of “Die Zeit”. The manufacturer J. & J. Kohn received his permission to produce a small series based on this. However, due to high manufacturing costs, only a small number of pieces was executed.
