A Suite of Furniture: Two-Seater Sofa and Armchair, designed by Paolo Buffa
in 1942, manufactured by Mario Quarti, Milan as part of the furnishings for the reception hall of a hotel in Bozen, filigree, four-legged structure made of solid walnut, unattached seat and back upholstery with new light green velvet cover. Dimensions of sofa: height c. 90 cm, width c. 152 cm, depth c. 74 cm, dimensions of armchair: height c. 90 cm, width c. 80 cm, depth c. 74 cm. (MHA)
The special shape of the round and hollowed armrest details creates the possibility to place an ashtray or glass on it while waiting.
