We are grateful to Sandro Bellesi for suggesting the attribution (written communication).
The attribution of the present painting is based on the comparison of the figures, and in particular, the figure wearing a crown, with those in other paintings by the artist, in particular the Saint Cecilia in a private collection (see F. Baldassari, Le opera di devozione pubblica e privata di Giovanni Martinelli, in: op. cit. Baldinotti et al., 2011, p. 84, fig. 19) and the Three Graces with Robilant & Voena, London (see S. Bellesi, I quadri allegorici, in: op. cit. Baldinotti et al., 2011, p. 54, fig. 13). Due to the close points of comparison with these paintings, which date to the 1640s and early 1650s, it is possible to date the present painting to the same period.
