“... Am schönsten ist es zu malen, wo man verwurzelt ist. Ich mag die herbe Landschaft des Waldviertels, die nicht kultivierten Hügellandschaften, den strengen Quarzsteinbruch. Und das Vormittagslicht im Kampgraben ist herrlich.”
“... The best thing is to paint where you feel rooted. I like the harsh landscape of the Waldviertel, the uncultivated hilly landscapes, the austere quartz stone quarry. And the morning light in the battle trenches is glorious..”
