Ex coll. Schidlof Georges. Antoine Keman was a very busy artist who sojourned in Paris from 1784 to 1789 where he received his artistic formation. After a brief return to his hometown in 1790 he went again to Paris and stayed there until 1792. From there he went to London and to Bristol in 1796. The present miniatures were executed in the artist’s Parisian period around 1790.
