bronze, the face gilt, seated in vajrasana on a double lotus base, the hands in vitarka and varada mudra, in front of the lotus base a recumbent Buddhist lion, height 25 cm; Provenance: Austrian private collection. The collection was built over several generations. The first items were acquired from 1910 onwards, and the bulk of the collection between 1950 and 1975.
