We are grateful to Klaus Ertz for confirming the attribution of the present painting to Joos de Momper. A copy of the written certificate, dated 30 September 2019 is available. Ertz dates the painting to the 1590s. The figures have been executed by a painter from the circle of Sebastiaen Vrancx (1573–1647).
