Nora Exner's "Entwurf für dekorative Malerei" [design for decorative painting] in particular represents a high point of the art of surface decoration (Flächenkunst) in Vienna around 1900. The Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt chose this motif of a sitting dog for its advertising campaign on the occasion of the 'Art for All' exhibition in 2016.
