"Seating Machines"-Hockerobjekt, Neil Nenner,
Israel 2014, Stahl, gebogen, geschweißt, Holzlatten, Höhe 44 cm, Breite 40 cm, Tiefe 29 cm. (DRAX)
Teil der experimentellen "Seating Machines"-Serie.
"I was trying to figure were are the morphologic borders of what we call a seating objects. What would be the minimum structure of a functioning chair? In terms of a line in space, do we still read this object as a chair/ stool / sled? Each object is placed on a different point of the spectrum between the most familiar shape (the sled) and on the other end the pure form follows function structure (the small stool). I used for the structures different types of iron and corten steel, some places require soft material, others more stiff for better springiness and so on." (Neil Nenner)
