Aus dem Besitz des Künstlers Chippensteel is one of the first products designed by Oskar Zieta. It is the first form of an interior design object in FiDU technology, made of one element, which during the process of deformation took the shape of a multidimensional chair. The unique feature of this chair is the nature of the material it is made of. The use of clean, unprotected copper has made the chair a living being that reacts with the surroundings and grows old, revealing the beauty of time and maturing to its full appearance. Each fingerprint and touch transformed the surface into a work of art, concealing history, time and experience. The first Chippensteel was presented in 2008. Since then, he has been published in books such as: "The Making of Design: From the First Model to the Final Product" and "Materialrevolution: Nachhaltige und multifunktionale Materialien für Design und Architektur".
The complete limited edition of 20 pieces has been sold until 2013. Chippensteel is a fine example of blending FiDU technology and craftsmanship. The 2D form is cut from sheet metal and goes through welding and inflating processes, becoming a three-dimensional functional chair. The finishing touch by a designer and craftsman makes it an ultimate beauty.
