Excellent impression of the Ist state (of II) with minor ink losses in certain areas, prior to the scratch next to the left cheek. On laid paper with watermark "Lamb on crowned shield" (Ash-Fletcher 29 B. a.). Two repaired small losses at the two upper corners, otherwise in a very good condition.
