1933 Adler Trumpf AV 1.5-litre convertible

1933 Adler Trumpf AV 1.5-litre convertible - Classic Cars

Still with its original engine; with the consignor for many years!

Adler presented the Trumpf and Primus in March 1932. They differed mainly in terms of their powertrain. The Trumpf adopted an entirely modern approach with front wheel drive, compared to the more traditionally designed Primus. To create these different drive concepts, the company simply reversed the units! This gave the Trumpf a more elegant look thanks to its slightly longer front section, with its unchanged bodywork. The Trumpf especially was a resounding success, possibly due to its spectacular achievements in long-distance racing.

This Trumpf was manufactured as a four-seater “convertible with two windows”, featuring an attractive Ambi-Budd body and equipped with genuine leather features. The vehicle plaque indicates that the car is still powered by its original engine! The eagle started its second life in 1983. Freshly restored, it was registered in Nuremberg. The consignor purchased the convertible in 1994, sold it, regretted it, missed it and bought it back. Naturally, the convertible carries the traces of the last 35 years, but no one is likely to wrinkle their nose at a patina in a pre-war vehicle. The Trumpf has benefited from competent maintenance and care in all these years, ensuring that it remains ready for use. The new owner can expect to find a partner for a trip into the past, and an authentic and charming experience in a bourgeois and sophisticated ambience!

VIN: 152663, mileage: 60,458 km (read), displacement: 1,504 cc/R4, power: 32 hp, colour: light brown/brown (leather), gearbox: 4-speed, papers: registered in Austria as a classic car
