1990 Jaguar XJ-S V12 Convertible

1990 Jaguar XJ-S V12 Convertible - Classic Cars

Delivered to Austria; long-term ownership!

Original 89,000 km mileage!

The XL-S replaced the E-type as a sporty, elite coupé in 1975. Malcolm Sayer designed an independent line that in the 12-cylinder engine found a suitably powerful drive unit to complement its exclusive appearance. Known as the Targa, the SC was intended to satisfy the customers’ cravings for convertibles in 1985. Jaguar did not manage to launch a full convertible that matched the standards of the make until February 1988, although it became the most successful version for a luxury vehicle in combination with a V-12 engine.

This XJ-S convertible was delivered to Klagenfurt in 1990. The second owner took care of the Jaguar from 1994. It is likely that he fitted the extravagant wooden steering wheel and the chrome-plated wheel arch, along with a double headlights and the bonnet figurine. Fascinated by the vehicle and especially its condition, the consignor purchased the Jaguar in 2005, but only used the 12-cylinder car on very special occasions, keeping the mileage low. All of this is clearly documented in the service booklet, which even states the most recent inspection appointments. The new owner can look forward to an Austrian third-hand Jaguar with a traceable history, lovingly cared for and recently serviced by a genuine enthusiast!
