1977 Vespa 125 Primavera ET3 (ohne Limit / without reserve)

1977 Vespa 125 Primavera ET3 (ohne Limit / without reserve) - Solo Vespa. Quasi.

In 1976 Piaggio fielded the ultimate version of the Vespa Primavera to the market. ET3 stood for Elettronica 3 Travasi, a reference to its electronic ignition and third overflow. With that came a substential increase in power, up to 7 HP, enough for 85 km/h. A new exhaust pipe was called ET3-Banana. Until the arrival of the PK-models, which brought an end to the Smallframe era, the ET3 remained the spearhead of the series.

The ET3 was built for eight years. Next to it the regular Primavera remained in the program as the entry level model. A total number of 144,000 examples was built. As the top-of-the-line among 125 cc models and thanks to its reliability it remains a much sought-after example among classic Vespas to this day.

This Vespa Primavera ET3 was fully restored with a lot of dedication a few years ago. Signs of wear are nowhere to be found, even when taking a closer look. The odometer reading suggests why. Since finishing the work it has rather been taken care of than driven and one can clearly see that today.
