Lotto No. 22 V

1965 Vespa 150 Sprint (ohne Limit / without reserve)

In 1965 Piaggio launched the Vespa 150 Sprint as the successor of the GL model. The engine‘s power was raised to 7,1 HP, which made the Sprint go for 94 Kilomoter per hour, enough to live up to its fast sounding name. Like its predecessor it could be easily distinguished thanks to the characteristic trapeze-shaped headlight. In 1969 Piaggio introduced an even stronger version called the Sprint Veloce.

The Vespa 150 Sprint became an overwhelming success for Piaggio. It stayed in the model line until 1974 and more than 200,000 examples left the factory in those ten years. Thanks to its great reliability it is the ideal entry model into the world of classic Vespas, which makes it a favorite in the scene.

This Vespa 150 Sprint is a very early example from the first production year. It was fully restored by a specialist ten years ago regardless of costs. The finished Sprint was then registered in Upper Austria and has been used and cared for just appropriate to its species.

Chassis: VLB1T*08288*, Motor: VLB1M*08546*, Österreichische Einzelgenehmigung (Austrian papers)
