An old inscription on the reverse: Dieses Gemälde von Höger "Gardasee bei Riga", 1830, stammt aus der Collection österreichischer Landschaften von Erzherzog Johann von Austria. Ich erwarb es von Graf Franz von Meran, seinem Enkel, im Jahr 1947. (This painting by Höger „Lake Gardasee near Riga“ 1830 derives from the collection with Austrian landscapes of Archduke Johann. I acquired it from Graf Franz von Meran, his grandson, in 1947.)
