From 1932 to 1934, Emile Savitry worked as an assistant for Brassai, and after the establishment of the Rapho Agency by Charles Rado in 1933, he worked there with him and Ylla and Ergy Landau. Rado emigrated to the USA in WWII, and during the liberation Savitry helped to rebuild the agency together with Willy Ronis and Robert Doisneau. cf.: Wikipedia Literature : Emile Savitry.
