The present painting is a workshop copy of a painting dating to ca. 1650 (probably also from the workshop Jan Brueghel II.), auctioned on 21st June 1966 by Fischer, Lucerne, as Lot 2154 (cf. K. Ertz, Jan Breughel the Younger, Freren 1984, p 287, No. 107).
