c. 1902, manufactured by Jacob & Josef Kohn, Vienna, c. 1902–16, solid beech and bent laminated beech, black stained and polished, the seat and backrest upholstered and covered with textile fabric, metal sabots, height 100 cm, width 60 cm, depth 55 cm, height of seat 47 cm. (DRAX)

This model formed part of an ensemble of drawing room furniture that also included a table, a chair, and a matching settee. The difficult and expensive production of these pieces of furniture suggests that they were not intended for the general market or for public institutions, but for more luxurious environments.
