This painting comes with a certificate by Klaus Ertz (2007). In his certificate, Ertz writes, “Following a thorough analysis of this picture, I am convinced that it is an original work by the Flemish master Jan Brueghel the Younger, by whom the flowers are painted. The figures within the wreath are, in my view, in the hand of an as yet unidentified Flemish artist from the circle of the figure painter Frans Francken II”.
