The magic girdle of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons,

For his ninth labour, Heracles had to retrieve the magic girdle of the Amazonian queen, Hippolyta, for the daughter of King Eurystheus. As soon as she hears of his task, she promises him the girdle as a present; however, Hera does not agree. She spreads the rumour that Heracles actually intends to abduct the Queen of the Amazons, whereupon the Amazons attack Heracles and his crew. In the end, after a terrible fray, Heracles exchanges the girdle for the queen’s captured sister.
