We are grateful to Ellis Dullaart, RKD, for confirming the attribution of the present painting. The composition, the colours, and the figure style betray strong similarities to other known works by Vucht. An alternative attribution of the painting to Jan Jurriaensz. van Baden (with the figures by A. Palamedesz.) has been suggested. The present painting is registered in the RKD’s database under no. 249024.
