1970 Porsche 911 E 2.2-litre
In the hands of the initial owner until 2000, with the Consignor since 2005! A largely unrestored 911, matching numbers! In August 1969, Porsche introduced model year 1970, with a newly increased displacement that raised the cubic capacity to 2.2 litres. The power output was slightly uprated. The 911 E now produced 155 hp, i.e. almost as much as the first "S", at a rather more civilised speed. Connoisseurs therefore regard it as an "all-rounder"! As is typical of Porsche, a number of small improvements entered series production, which led the Zuffenhausen manufacturer to call it the C series. This "E" was delivered on 17 July 1970 in Ancona. Painted in Blood Orange, with a Black Skai interior – as classical as the car's Fuchs alloys. Although its initial owner had passed away years before, this rapid Coupé didn't change owner until 2000, following the death of their widow. Prior to that, it had hardly been driven for years. In 2003, it was bought by a Porsche enthusiast who owned it for two years, before the Consignor - who had been aware of it since its initial ownership - acquired the Porsche on 14 July 2005. From then on, the 911 was housed in the South Tyrol Mountains, adding a little diversity to a collection of pre-war race cars. This Porsche is presented as an unrestored car with the original engine, as well as the original interior and corresponding Blaupunkt radio. Only the paintwork has been restored to its original colour. The 911 shows the probably unavoidable signs of infrequent use over 47 years. When driving it, you notice that this 911 was almost certainly always carefully treated. So it is still a great specimen, even at second glance, especially due to its authenticity! Above all, however, because it is an unexpected pleasure to drive - precise and thrilling, just like an old Porsche should be!
