1985 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.3-litre

1985 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.3-litre - Autoveicoli d'epoca

Germany delivery, lavish specification! 58,000 km, matching numbers! In autumn 1974, Porsche unveiled the new 930 Turbo in Paris, allowing us to forget all about the oil crisis. Power was once again in demand and the Turbo certainly delivered this in abundance - initially 260 hp in the 3.0-litre and then around 300 hp in the 3.3-litre from 1977. The Turbo also quite blatantly revealed its potential on the outside, by means of enormous wing extensions and an equally unsubtle rear wing. The vehicle's performance frequently exceeded the skills of its driver, which still contributes to the Turbo's fascination, afforded it legendary status and dramatically reduced the number of really good cars. This 930 Turbo was delivered in March 1985 to Schönbrunn-Schwanheim in Baden-Württemberg by the Porsche Centre in Ludwigshafen, in rare Prussian Blue Metallic, which was only available to order for two years, with electrically adjustable, heated sports seats in blue leather. A differential lock and sunroof complete this elegant specification, with air conditioning fitted as standard. Thanks to the USD exchange rate, this Porsche - like so many others that year - relocated as a new car to the US, where it was first registered in Texas on 10 September 1985, according to Carfax. By the time it was sold to an owner in Alabama in 2004, the Porsche had already covered 27,000 miles. A subsequent owner from Illinois returned the Turbo to its native Germany in late 2015, when it still had only 36,000 miles on the clock. Here, it underwent its first service in a Porsche Centre and was given a new km/h tacho. Today, this Über-911 still retains not only its impressive unique specification and forceful driving characteristics, but also its wonderfully authentic condition that leaves no doubt that this specimen has always been cherished and maintained. The Turbo comes with a new MOT so that it can instantly hit the road to catch the last of this year's sun!
