1991 Honda (Acura) NSX

1991 Honda (Acura) NSX - Autoveicoli d'epoca

Simplified Grand Prix technology! Silver, manual transmission, two previous owners! In 1990, Honda set out to put the fear of God into Ferrari. By digging deep into its box of tricks, Honda set milestones in sports car manufacturing. The NSX was the world's first mass-produced car to feature an all-aluminium body and the first vehicle to be fitted with variable differential lock. The 24-valve, 3-litre V6 DOHC engine with Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) is full of high-tech features. The 1.16-metre "flatfish" is therefore fully suitable for everyday use. For the race track, however, Formula 1 legend, Ayrton Senna, fine-tuned the suspension. Honda had reached the pinnacle of sports car production. Awards such as "Best Sports Car Ever Built" and "Design of the Year" confirmed this. Only around 18,000 NSXs were made before production ceased in 2005. With its Silver paintwork, this NSX is considered to be extremely rare, because the majority were delivered in Red or Black. Unlike many others, it also features the coveted 5-speed manual gearbox! Only a couple of hundred NSXs ended up in Europe and this one, like most of those available, also originates from the US and therefore bears Acura insignia. A German architect living in the US purchased this Honda from new, before taking it back to Germany when he relocated. The Consignor bought the NSX from this architect in 2008 and the car is therefore in the hands of its second and very caring owner. The vehicle has spent every winter officially deregistered under a tailor-made car cover. In 2014, the NSX was fitted with a new timing belt, as well as a new battery and new ignition coils and plugs. And only recently, the clutch and tyres were also replaced. The Consignor has kept meticulous records, which will allow the new owner to enjoy this fully-documented and well-maintained vehicle!
