A confirmation of Alt’s daughter Luise von Alt on the reverse: “Ich bestätige, dass dieses watercolor darstellend Waldbachstrub von meinem Vater gemalt wurde und zwar ist es die Original Studie zu dem Bilde auf Wunsche und Auftrag des Herrn Industriellen Reiterer in Vienna VI. Bez., Amerlingg. 10. Luise von Alt, Vienna 17. September 1907, signed Hallstadt am 10. Juni 1895. (I confirm that this watercolor which represents the torrent Waldbachstrub was painted by my father. It is the original study for a painting which the entrepreneur Mister Reiterer from Vienna VI. Bez., Amerlingg. 10. had commissioned. Luise von Alt, Vienna 17th September 1907, signed Hallstadt , 10th June 1895.)
