1957 Jaguar Mk. VIII *

1957 Jaguar Mk. VIII * - Autoveicoli d'epoca

Matching Numbers!

Jaguar presented the large Mk. VII with its powerful lines and interior in leather and noble wood to suit British tastes in 1950. The twin cam engine of the XK 120 was the crowning glory. Immediately recognisable due to the single-piece windscreen and broader radiator grille, the passengers are extended even greater luxury. With added power, the car was one of the quickest of its age. Just over 6,200 of them were built before it was replaced by its successor model after two years.

Luxurious even back then, the car delights even spoiled automobile enthusiasts to this day. Thick leather is framed by precious wood panelling, while high-gloss picnic tables are delights for our mobile laptop generation. The interior is unrestored, lending charm and an incomparably magnificent English patina. Delivered by Marston Excelsior in Leeds, the Jaguar Mk. VIII was registered for the first time in England on 1 May 1957. It was imported to Austria in 1994, where it enriched the consignor’s collection. This Jaguar opens up to the world through a huge sunroof, eliminating the need for air conditioning in combination with the additional vent windows. This is a largely unrestored specimen of an impressive saloon car that even in its day was the pinnacle of luxury that Jaguar had to offer!
