Lotto No. 560 V

1940 Packard One-Ten Coupé *

1940 Packard One-Ten Coupé * - Autoveicoli d'epoca

Only two models built by Packard!

Lavishly restored just a few years ago!

Packard reintroduced a six-cylinder vehicle to its programme in 1937. It was feared in some quarters that this would harm the image of the richly traditional, luxury make. In actual fact, though, it helps Packard to survive the Great Depression, as it was able to appeal to a larger group of customers. These vehicles were given the name One-Ten in the model year 1940. And while the cars themselves were spruced up year for year, everything below the bonnet remained the same. A good four litres of displacement and 100 horsepower created an altogether speedy package. The One-Ten was only built for two years before being renamed the Six, shortly before production ended with the outbreak of the Second World War.

This Packard Club Coupé was registered for the first time on 12 November 1940. It travelled from sunny California to Austria as far back as 1992, where its first owner registered the car in Styria in August. The following February, the Packard changed hands for the first and only time, remaining registered to its second owner until 1999. What followed was a period of extensive and high-quality restoration. And the results are more than impressive today! The outcome is a remarkable pre-war automobile with elegant coupé lines in art déco style.

VIN: 564359, mileage: 97,361 mls (read), displacement: 4,022 cc/R6, power: 100 hp, colour: beige/brown (fabric), gearbox: 3-speed, papers: Austrian individual approval
