Hamburger Kunstverein (Lugt 1236), its auction sale, Amsler and Ruthardt, Berlin, 17th April 1905, lot 366; private collection, Germany.
Very beautiful and even impression of the first state with rich contrasts (e), prior to the reworkings in the landscape. A loss at the upper left corner and two restored tears to the lower and right corner each, otherwise in good condition.
