Perizia: scrittura del dott. Fred Meijer, Rijksbureau voor kunsthistorische Documentatie (RKD), L’Aia, 11 settembre 1998. Il dott. Fred Meijer scrive:'... For the flowers, the painting can be compared with several signed works by Jan Brueghel II. Closest is a garland aroe a St. Hieronymous, (with Noortman, Maastricht, 1986; K. Ertz, Jan Brueghel der Jüngere, 1984, n.. 312). Other closely related signed examples are a garland aroe a Holy Family with St. John (with Noortman, Maastricht, 1975, Ertz 1984, n. 308) and another aroe a Holy Family with St. John and St. Elisabeth, in the Hermitage, St. Petersburg, dated 1656 (Ertz 1984, n. 306). Several other related works were included by Ertz (n. 307, 309, 310, 311).
