The inspiration for “The Element” was of the concept of raw metallic meteors or pure elements that had landed after soaring through space and sky.
“The Element” was first exhibited at The New York Armory Show in a sculptural capsule collection.
Barlas Baylar founded the Hudson Furniture Gallery in 2004, a showroom for concept design, in New York. Each object is handmade by an experienced team of craftsmen. Baylar’s designs are inspired by the art, design and architecture of the Art Deco era, blending them with modern forms. Each design requires many hours of work before it is ready to leave the studio.
