Vienna, c. 1906, construction with brass ceiling plate of concave shape, small metal chains with glass balls, and a larger metal ball at the centre made of decorated opalescent glass. Diameter c. 18 cm, without guarantee for electrical fitting. (MHA)
Josef Hoffmann designed stylistically very similar chandeliers.
Provenance:
Sigmund and Mary Primavesi, Hinterbrühl; passed down by descent after Mary Primavesi’s death in 1949; uninterrupted family ownership until 2018
