According to Gordon Friese, to whom we owe this expertise, the present sheet is the missing no. 81 of the 80-sheet series. According to him, it is an impression from the original woodblocks. The printed image matches the original. The outer margin is slightly trimmed, leaving the seal half missing. The colours are slightly faded. Especially the purple in the clouds has changed to brown. The sheet is very slightly stained. The printed image is good and the overall condition is good to satisfactory. Compare no. 11.16873, MFA, Boston, 34.5 x 22.9 cm, attached to support, mounted, (CT)
