manufactured by Kunsttischlerei Friedrich Otto Schmidt, Vienna, c. 1960, eight-legged wood construction, brass fittings and brass sabots. Height c. 69 cm, diameter c. 85 cm. (MHA)
Adolf Loos used this table model in different variations (6 and 8-legged models, size of the table top, with and without brass appliqués as well as table-top inlays.) The chair and table models were also modified for customers.
An example of this model series is preserved in the collection of the Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna (in the permanent exhibition “Design/Arts and Crafts 1890 – 1938”).
