Vienna c. 1903, manufactured by the Prag-Rudniker wickerwork factory, four-legged structure made of solid stained elm, original rush wickerwork. Height c. 124 cm, width c. 60 cm, depth c. 59 cm, height of seat c. 44.5 cm. (MHA)
Prag-Rudniker was an important Viennese basketware and furniture manufacturer, with a salesroom on Mariahilfer Strasse. It flourished around the turn of the century until 1914. Prag-Rudniker executed designs by important Viennese architects, such as Wilhelm Schmidt, Josef Zotti, Hans Vollmer and Koloman Moser.
