Germany in around 1950, classic, pared-down, runner-shaped and, respectively, four-legged beech frame construction, upholstered, green seat, back and armrest coverings. Dimensions of each armchair: height c. 76 cm, width c. 54 cm, depth c. 65 cm, height of seat c. 42 cm; dimensions of table: height c. 52 cm, width c. 62 cm, depth c. 44 cm. (MHA)
Albert Haberer was born in St. Ingbert on 14 November 1933 and died on 15 April 2020 in St. Wendel, Germany. He was a German visual artist, designer and art teacher. The present armchairs come from his former home.
Provenance:
Acquired by Albert Haberer’s neighbour along with the house; purchased from the above by the current owner.
