Private collection, Germany. Very excellent, black and velvetily printed contemporary impression of the Ist-IInd state (of VI). With the fine retouches at the cheeks, eyelids and in the background, however, prior to the cross hatchings between the fingers and with further reworkings. With the water mark "seven provinces " (No 34) mentioned by Ash-Fletcher.
Very rare in this state and quality of the print. In excellent condition.
